OFF-SHORE OPERATIONS

As of 2010, ARLA has been providing security services onboard Offshore Production Operations support and supply vessels on behalf of a major International Petroleum Company operating in Indonesian waters.

A reality of operating in Indonesia is that theft and corruption takes place in many operations. It is not uncommon for the crews to routinely siphon off or over report daily fuel usage, allowing them to accumulate a substantial stockpile that they can then dispose of at a convenient time and location.

The strong social and cultural bonds between the vessels crews and the clients personnel based in these locations often results in these losses going unreported. The owner therefore needs to take suitable steps to protect his assets and the property of the Indonesian Government.

ARLA guards are deployed onboard the vessel and work alongside the vessel crew, but remain outside their social framework. They report on a daily basis to the clients representatives. They work with clear and strictly enforced Standard Operating Procedures, that regulate and monitor daily vessel activity and fuel usage as well as detailed fuel stock reporting.

ARLA supplies well paid and highly motivated and trained Security Guards (including the required safety training for working in the Oil and Gas Offshore Environment), who have regular rotating work rosters. As a result of this we are able to supply a unique and unbiased security presence on board the vessels.

With this new service we have transferred our experience and competence into a new field of operations.
